A stay in this large Tuscan villa, situated only 1,5 miles from the lovely sandy beaches of " Ultima spiaggia" will allow you to combine a beach holiday with a cultural holiday. This beautiful villa has recently been carefully restored into a comfortable villa with plenty of luxury and with all modern conveniences. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have an en suite bathroom, satellite tv, broadband internet, a mini-bar and a safe. The large cosy living room has been elegantly decorated and has a fire place and comfortable furniture. In the hall there is a large table with a fax, printer and a telephone. After visiting one of the many treasures of Tuscany or taking a trip to the beach, you can take a refreshing dip in the pool or relax on one of the sun beds and enjoy the breathtaking sunset.
The villa lies on an outstretched agricultural estate in the plains that starts at Capalbio and stretches out to the coast.
Villa of 500 m² divided over 3 floors.
Ground floor: entrance in hall with large table with telephone, fax, printer. Large living room with fire place and various comfortable sofa’s and fauteuils. Dining room with large table, modern kitchen with gas stove, oven, microwave, large fridge, dishwasher, espresso machine and filter coffee machine. Utility room with washing machine.
First and Second floor: in total 7 double bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom with shower and/or bathtub. All bedrooms on the second floor have a small terrace.
Other facilities: airconditioning, WiFi internet, satelite TV, DVD player, stereo.
On the large roofed veranda you can sit, shielded from the sun, and enjoy a lovely meal. The villa is surrounded by a large garden with swimming pool. In the garden the pine trees and palm trees provide plenty of shade. By the swimming pool there are comfortable sun beds and parasols. The children can play to their hearts content on the beautiful lawns. Next to the grounds are the stables.
Beach, nature and culture. “Ultima spiaggia” is a very lovely sandy beach, sun beds and parasols are for rent. There are also water bicycles. In the cosy beach pavilion there are plenty of beverages and snacks to choose from, there is even a restaurant that serves wonderful fish. Imagine yourself sitting at the table enjoying a lovely glass of wine and watching the sun set while your children enjoy themselves on the beach! The unspoilt coast line is a lovely place to make long walks or ride on a mountain bike over the small country lanes which take you through the fields or the pine tree woods. The national park Lago di Burano, a lagoon separated from the sea by dunes, is a beautiful natural park with a rich flora and fauna.
The peninsula Monte Argentario is most definitely worth a visit and you can also visit Porto Ercole with the holiday residence of the Dutch royal family.
The coast also borders on to the area where the Etrusks used to live. Around Viterbo and Tarquina are many remains of the Roman and Etruskian civilizations.
Near Capalio, the French artist Niki de Sain Phall has created a garden with true to life artworks which depict the secrets of the Tarocchi: “Il giardino di Tarocchi”. The children will also enjoy a visit to this garden.
Rome and Orvieto are also within reasonable distance, Rome is only a 1,5 hour drive and Orvieto a 1 hour drive. In Capalbio there are many facilities such as supermarket, post office, bank, pharmacy, etc.
