Beautiful, romantic “in pietra” villa with private swimming pool, in beautiful natural park in North Latium for 6 people. Airconditioning and WiFi.
This beautiful villa is situated in an archaeological natural park of approx. 20.000 m² with impressive remains of a villa dating back from 130 BC, originally owned by the ´Gens Tullia´ (relative of Marco Tullio Cicerone). Whilst walking through the park you will no doubt be most impressed by the beauty of the surroundings, by the tranquillity and by the magnificent panoramic views. The picturesque rolling countryside, with its many olive orchards and the Apennines in the background, will remind you of Umbria which are only several miles away. The owner has built his country home with annex on a site with other antique remains, and at a good distance from his house he has built this lovely holiday villa. The villa is completely private with private driveway, garden and swimming pool. The furnishing and decoration is very elegant and comfortable with eye for detail. There is a pleasant terrace with pergola by the pool and there is also a large roofed-in veranda, a lovely place to enjoy an ´al fresco´ lunch or dinner. The villa has a large garden with a.o. olive- and palm trees and a swimming pool with ´scala romana´ (semi-circle stairs sloping into the water). This is truly an ideal place for a relaxing holiday.
Cosy, large living room with comfortable furniture, fire place, satellite tv and dining table. The living room leads out to the roofed-in veranda. There is a most charming studio with a.o. a comfortable chaise long and access to the terrace by the swimming pool. The kitchen is large and has a.o. a dishwasher, combi-oven, fridge with freezer, toaster. There are 3 romantic bedrooms, one of the bedrooms has a four-poster bed, one bedroom has a double bed and a beautiful fireplace, and one bedroom has 2 single beds. All windows have screens. There are 2 bathrooms, one with large shower and one bathroom with a normal seize shower.

Large garden with lawns, olive- and palm trees, pleasant terrace with pergola by the swimming pool, wrought iron arbour with chairs, large roofed-in veranda where you can enjoy an ´al fresco´ lunch or dinner. There is an outdoor barbecue. You can sit by the pool and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding rolling hillside with the Apennines in the background. From the garden you can walk right into the magnificent natural park with all its archaeological finds.
The beautiful natural park around the villa is a lovely place for walks. The surrounding countryside is hilly and green and the main cultivation is olive trees, which produce the renowned regional D.O.P. olive oil. In this rural setting there are many medieval villages and hamlets or ´borghi´ Due to the many festivals and sagra´s life of the local population is very much fused with the old traditions. To attend such a festival or sagra is a most extraordinary experience.
You can, in the vicinity, make several trips, a.o. to the natural reservation of the Teverer, a paradise for bird watchers. Here you can follow the stream of the river with a boat to the abbey of Frafa with its beautiful paintings and decorations. You could also visit the beautiful Roman church/cemetery of Vescovio with fresco´s dating back from the 13th century and which are thought to be made by the students of Cavallini. Well known places such as Rome, Viterbo, Rieti and Terni are all within a reasonable distance, about an hour drive from the villa. If you want to avoid the busy traffic in Rome, you could also take the train. The station is only 8 minutes away and the train to Rome leaves every half hour (it will take 35 minutes to get to Rome). There is also a train to the airport (Fiumicino). At a 20 minute drive away there is a station where a train to Rome leaves every 15 minutes.
Nearby, about a 5 minutes drive away there are possibilities for golf, horse riding, tennis. Shops and other facilities can be found in a village 1,5 miles away.<br><br>
